Linda Beach is a small, play-based, cooperative preschool located in in the Piedmont Community Church youth building. Established in 1941, Linda Beach Cooperative Preschool has provided a creative, loving and relaxed environment for children for more than 60 years. Founded on the belief that children learn best in an environment rich with age-appropriate stimuli and caring adults, the school’s success is due to the warmth and enthusiasm provided by exceptional teachers working directly with parents eager to share in the development and education of their child. Linda Beach offers a traditional preschool approach, which emphasizes the development of each child through independent and group play activities. At all times, your child’s physical and emotional well being are the prime concerns of the teachers at Linda Beach. The school offers two preschool classes, and a Pre-Kindergarten. Each preschool class of 20 children is supervised by two teachers and two participating parents. The 3 & 4 year olds meet on Tuesday and Thursday and the 4 & 5 year olds meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Both classes meet from 9:00-11:45 a.m. The pre-kindergarten has two participating teachers and meets Monday through Thursday from 12:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Linda Beach does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, or national or ethnic origin. |
